I used to think you could save money on tape. After all, “it’s just tape.” Unfortunately, this is one of those places where saving money quickly pays off.

What happened to cheap tapes?

The strings broke.
The pleats lost their shape.
Everything looked different after washing.
The repairs took longer than sewing from scratch.

What I do now?

I choose tried-and-true tapes. I usually order them from curtainmaker.uk because I know I won’t have to revisit the project after a few weeks.
Good tape means peace of mind – and that’s the most important thing to me.
